Need a new clutch? was created by Black Toy
hi jimny fellas
my clutch pedal is becoming hard to press!
i can only feel that when i drive newer cars (guess my muscles become used to the daily leg press)
Is it that the cable or should i just buy a new clutch? The cable is about 1/3 of the price of a new clutch...
my Jimny is a 2009 manual with 60k km
Thanks!

Hi mate I took the cable off and it was ok no mud inside it. Its either the cable is stretched and its been adjusted to its max or the clutch is shot. I think Im going to get a new cable and try that 1st.
Let me know how you get on.
Thanks
James

When mine went the AA guy said it will have been on its way for a while and getting heavier but as i drive it everyday i wouldn't have noticed easily. It went to the floor one day and just stank the car out with the lovely burning clutch smell! Had to start it in gear and limp it to the garage.
I would expect the worse! :pinch:

I understand that my clutch is not damaged as it does not slip, either forcing with the handbrakes on or on higher gears... hence I'll bet on a new cable for now...
Thanks!
