Sluggish low end power was created by Nelson83
Hi All,

My trucks started to become sluggish low end - less than 2krpm when pulling away in first and second gears. Its almost as if there's a turbo lag :( :( When i pull away i can feel the power isnt there until i hit 2k revs and then all of a sudden the powers there. I've put my lead foot down and it goes, so my guesses is the idler sensor or possibly the O2 sensors.

Any suggestions? And if so, where are the bits that need changing located within the engine bay? (fingers crossed my local stealer will have the bits in stock)

Does it idle ok? If its just under load and then sort of clears itself it could be as simple as a blocked/collapsed cat.

Black Jimny's don't get stuck!

When im sat idling, the rev counter doesnt tick over steady, it blips up and down slightly. You can feel it doing it and see the rev counter moving. I replaced the cat last year and both O2 sensors. Its fine when underload, its just when pulling away, theres a definately lag in power and then it suddenly appears. Up and down hills its fine, when the cat went last year, the power went on hills first.

end of last year - it was fine until weds when i topped the tank up. My initial thought was fuel, but then i started thinking O2 sensors and worse case. Ive checked the air filter and thats clean and the snorkels clear too (had thoughts about it been used as rubbish point on the town centre car park)
