No
The tmax wont store pressure which the arb needs to operate or it will leak pressure and dissengage
And you cant leave the tmax one on as its not designed to hold pressure
The arb compressore has a tank which stores pressure and only recharges when needed

Yes you can ! You will need a presure switch (viair do one for less than £20) and a small tank, one of them small disposable welding gas bottles works great and plenty big enough for a couple of arb's
Just unscrew the valve out the end and put in a fitting, it's 1/8 bsp.
Or if you want to be really cheep you can use a coke bottle (yes really ! It's been proven they take the pressure and if they do get damaged then it doesn't chuck shrapnel at you)

You can also use a reciever tank from an old fridge ( not the large black bit thats a compresser its a small tank found on larger fridges )

There you go a couple of good ideas for a tank and mostly free.
I wouldn't go with the coke bottle though!
I don't know what fitting the fridge reciever would have , I expect it would be a soldered pipe but it will be rated at the pressure needed as would the welding gas bottle.

Normally 1/4 so brake pipe fittings would work well
