LINE LOCKERS was created by jo king
Hi All , Been thinking of putting some line lockers in to the brake lines and having two switchs in the dash, each switch would lock the fluid from traveling to the brakes. I want to be able to lock the wheels that are on the ground and apply the brakes with the my left foot which will stop the wheels in the air that were spinning when I get axled out. The thing I want to know is would it be legal to drive as the lockers would be unlocked and would it go through an MOT.

Not come across this idea before. it sounds good in principle but technically it'd be a pain as you'd have to double up the rear brake hoses as on the standard drums the fluid goes through the off side piston to get to the nearside. I hate to think what the MOT man would say, better to go with separate fiddle brakes but that's even more work.

i've thought about this before, seems the electric line lockers are alot more common in the US i think the drag racers run them. theoretically it would work at least to get you moving a couple feet to get un-stuck. can't think of a reason why it would fail an mot although if you accidentally locked them all with no pressure in the lines then tryed to break you would brown your pants :woohoo:

Thanks everyone for your input.
Johnniehec I was wondering of putting a nsr drum piston on the off side would this work to allow the for the rerouting of the pipes..
I think I will tri this out and take pictures through out.. If it works then I wont go through with any diff locks.
Hopefully this will be way cheaper and be effective enough. I just have to gather abit more knowledge about the rerouting of the lines then its a go...
Does anyone know of where I can get line lockers in the uk...
