Gearbox filler was created by wanderinstar
Finally got round to changing the oils in my Jimny. Someones tip of warming the fill and drain plugs first was bob on. But no one had a tip for filling the gearbox. The 4" pipe on the bottle of new oil was too short. So I used a short piece of garden hose to extend it.But it was extremly difficult to squeeze the oil container to get the oil out.
Think next time I do it, it willm be a 2 man job.one underneath to check for overspill and one in engine bay with a 3ft length of hose, just slowly trickleing it in.
N/Side kingpin bearings to do tomorrow and 2" spring spacers.Hoping for another dry day.
Ian.

1.3l as in the other oil level thread. It went in and was above the oil level hole. Due to the front end being on ramps.Due to the angle of the motor I didn't let the oil continue running out of the filler hole.
Hope you understand what I mean.

Buy yourself an oil pump gun mate. They are under $10, you stick the tube in the container and fill up half a litre at a time by drawing back on the pump and then simply squeeze the oil into the filler hose.
