Special Low Ratio Jimny gearsets was created by ooky_123
Just did some research into these, and have been quoted
for a 2001 Jimny is 650 EUR + 25 EUR for shipment to UK, delivery is 3-5 days.
Seems a bit steep when a Rock Lobster from Robb STorr is only about £800

In my personal opinion a special Low Ratio Jimny Gearset was not to my taste when fitted to my car (the previous owner fitted them).
They didn't lower the ratios enough for my taste. Effectively they reduce the diameter of one of the gears in order to reduce the ratio. My own feeling is that the increased torque is put onto the gear and chain, increasing its chances of slipping. I know the that previous owner had to replace the chain and then I had to replace a chain, therefore 2 chains in approx 2 years is not good going. I wrote to a manufacturer fof such a product and they stated that you should fit a new chain after fitting their gears as the old chain would have a different wear pattern on it. AT over £300 (£380 I think) for a chain I gave that one a miss and went RockLobster instead.
"Rockwatt" off of the Shropshire-Suzuki site seems to build RockLobster boxes (and possibly Jimny mounting kits??) as he was selling them at the TOR show last weekend.

I think you'll find Rockwatt (Richard Wattam) on the muddyzook forum rather than Shropshire Suzuki.
