Bought a 2001 softop g13bb Jimny off Ebay with supposed Immobiliser problem but I suspected otherwise. Picked it up in the dark and did not get to look it over. (big mistake)
After a quick inspection I have found very milky oil (suspect head gasket) but my query is about the electrical problem. It will not start but will occasionally fire and try. So far I have found that it sparks on 2 cylinders fine (which are on one the same wiring circuit) and only the occasional spark on the other 2 . I swapped the coil packs round and the same cylinders were not sparking so that ruled them out. Plugs are fine. Any ideas? I guess I need to check for broken wires but wondering if there are any other obvious things or where the wiring circuit runs to. i have not checked if all injectors are firing yet.
Previous owner has supposed to of had new ECU, locks, immob, from Cam Suzuki which did not solve the issue but I dont know whether to believe this.
