A quick question here. I know a lot of folk make sturdy recovery points for getting dragged out of the mud, but would the standard towing eyes be up to the task of dragging halfwit BMW drivers out of the way when they get stuck in half an inch of snow and block the road?

I think they would be ok as long as it isnt a snatch recovery. My mate winched himself out of a bog using my standard ones, he was in a fourtrak.

It is usually easier to simply drive the bmw out of the way.
If they won't let you, tell them how to drive it. :woohoo:

I've never had much success towing a dead weight when my wheels are on mud or ice.
If it suddenly breaks, go back to the last thing that you did before it broke and start looking there :)

When recovering a truck i used a bridle across the 2 front eyes. The same across the back 2 with a steady pull and the other car driving still so its not dead weight should be ok
