Converting manual to auto was created by Adamski
Does anyone know if a manual Jimny can be converted to an auto?
Is it an easy job?
What parts would be required to do it?

Yes it can be done and Rhino Ray is your man to do it. He's done a fair few now!

Thanks Kirkynut. Has anyone on here had one of the auto conversions?
Any idea how much it would cost (roughly)?

Any particular reason you would want to do it?

Might be easier to swap with someone who has an auto who wants a manual. I wonder if there's anyone who wants to do that...

I do a lot of towing and autos are better for that plus I prefer auto over manual anyway.
The best thing would be just to buy/swap the whole car for an auto but I love the one I've got, it's in a good solid condition and I've done quite a lot to it getting it exactly how I want it.
I'm waiting for the engine to go then it gives me an excuse to drop a diesel in it :silly:
