clutch help was created by tups93
hey all,

im thinking about upgrading my clutch, and was wondering if anyone has had any dealing with this clutch? I have a 2000 W plate jimny and was wondering if this clutch would fit and do all the things i require it to do?

I use a standard clutch, and always will. I'd save your money towards a rocklobster conversion, wont have any clutch problems then.

Basically you get what you pay for.
When we bought out current Jimny, we had a new clutch fitted as part of the conditions of sale.
Off road, this lasted 3 months, and when it went, it went big style.

I purchased a 4 paddle clutch and basket (re-used the release bearing as I knew this was the point of failure).
So far, the Jumny has been unstoppable with teh new clutch .. it has taken some getting used to as the take up is vicious, but having recovered and towed quite a bit with it since, it has never slipped or smelt like its burning.

If I had to do it again .... 4 paddle all the way .. its worth the extra expense

i know i get what i pay for, im just wondering if its worth the extra 20 quid for the HD clutch, how much was the paddle clutch you were on about there?

ive seen a compition clutch as well which is £170, but would be happy with either of them, just need to know if they will fit and be the correct clutch.

I bought mine from Darren @ KAP but I'm sure the other jimmy specialists can supply the items you need. Cannot remember exactly how much I paid but I'm very happy with it.
