If your motor is pre 2007 it's OK I think?
John.

On the 8th Day God made the LandRover -
On the 9th day he swapped it for a Jimny.

My limited knowledge on the subject make me think the "bullbars" on the top are the problem. If you took them off then fitted a winch would it be ok? Ive seen pics of jimnys on the road with his bumpers fitted.

I thought (and I could be wrong!) but dont bull bar regs only cover new cars?
Ie. If you buy a new car from the dealer its bull bars must meet type approval regs.

As far as the MOT goes, as long as the bumper does not have any sharp edges or projections, doesnt obscure the reg plate or interfere with the headlamp pattern you should be ok.

I hope you're right. I've got one in the garage waiting to be fitted.

Bullbar regs cover new cars.

However, there was another change in 2007 that says you cannot change the manufacturers certified safety features, as a bumper is part of the certification, you cannot change it. Applies to 2007 onwards.
