Heater Linkage

Righty, problem i've got is with the heater direction linkage. The linkage is connected both sides (beneath the dash and at the lever) and I can pull the leaver back to 'face(feet maybe) only' on the far left but it doesn't appear strong enough to be able to push the bottom linkage back across to windscreeen only and i have to reach under the dash and operate it manually. Incovenient at best! I've had the top dash cover off and i can see the lever is moving the wire no problem. Any suggestions? Thanks.

Outer cover has probably slipped. Undo retaining screw and clamp, push wire to appropiate distance and then slip outer cover back and clamp. That should give you more movement on the lever.

Had another go at it before there and even after i take the looped wire off the bottom arm (from which I can still move direction manually) and then move the dash lever it will pull it back up but will not push back down. The lever moves fine however the wire doesn't budge?

Sound like you have not fixed the outer cable in the clip just above the heater linkage
