Clutch Cable was created by Cocopolo
Last week i had to change for the 4th time in 6 years the clutch cable on my Jimny, as the left pedal movement was very hard and harsh ...

Did anyone of you found a trick to avoid the clutch cable become so rough after regular use in muddy tracks?

I tried the trick mentioned in this link, but it only delayed the problem of few weeks ...

Thanks

I suspect you are using the £50 copy of the clutch cable, rather than the £100+ genuine Suzuki part.
Aftermarket stuff is usually cheaper for a reason

Also the cable is lined and doesn't need lubrication, extra grease tends to hold grit and work it into the outer cable.

If it suddenly breaks, go back to the last thing that you did before it broke and start looking there :)

I use always suzuki original spares ... as i learnt that they last much more than aftermarket ... but clutch cables (and sometimes rear wheel bearings) ... do not last long anyway...

... thanks for the advices ...

I replaced my OEM clutch cable with a genuine suzuki one about a month ago after it snapped - there was a 3 week as there werent any in any of the european warehouse stocks so one had to be sent for from Japan - total cost £56 :-)
