Headlamp levelling? was created by mcjimny
Do all the headlamps have the levelling adjustment regardless of age? Mines a 52 plate and i wasn't sure if the early ones had it or not so didn't want to get stung with a manual one by mistake.

Is there another kind of leveling besides manual (the little switch with 0-1-2-3) ?

Yes, all models and all ages should level.
No, there is no other levelling method other than the manual 0 - 1- 2 - 3 .
You could go under the bonnet and manually adjust the levels but this is only for alignment and not for auto levelling.
.. having said that, the small motors in our headlights no longer work (too much water ingress I assume!) .. so we have ours set as high as possible and still be legal to pass an MOT

I smashed all the back of mine when i tried taking on a disco, as a temporary fix i drilled some holes in the plastic and cable tied it in place to stop it wobbling and falling back into the hole!

No i was following him. 5 of us in a group on road and he thought he could go at a junction, a car appeared and he stopped, so did i but using his drop plate!!
He had a lift on his truck so the bumper is at headlamp height on mine, the spare wheel made a nice impression on my bonnet too!
