Suspension sounds like a pirate ship..? was created by lukeyblunt
Hi everybody,
bad bad news.
When I drive around a relatively sharp left hand turn, my offside rear suspension ( i assume ) makes a creaking, sticky sound.- like an old pirate ship!
Any ideas..? Have i done too much hardcore offroading on stock suspension ?! is that even possible?
many many thanks,
Luke B
ps- i love the Jimny community - im normally the one to encourage friendly gestures to oncoming Jimnys.. but today, someone got there before me with a full beam and a thumbs up!
Glad i'm not on my own!

Just a thought based on my previous vehicle (not a Jimny)
had a similar issue that stemmed from the exhaust/back box having been pushed slightly to one side and then catching when turning one way.

Check your shock bolts are tight at the top and that the bushes are still good.

So tighten my bolts and get some good bush !
so (step by step) .. what do i do to check..? I've just jacked it up and had a look, but there is nothing obvious to be tightened. can someone send a diagram or annotated photo please..?
and the only bushes i can see are twigs from greenlaning.
joking aside.. how can i tell a good bush from a bad bush?
thanks all. any help is greatly appreciated.
I'm tired of driving HMS Jimny.
