help on suspension lift! was created by THOR
hi guys...i'm new to this forum...but i'm already impressed with all the info that's in here...
anyway i wish somebody here can help me...

i have a 2010 jimny. i replaced the stock tire with 255/60/15 cooper cobras...
recently i had a suspension lift (3inch rear and 2.5inch front)...changed my coil springs and shock absorbers...

then i noticed that my right rear wheel is sticking out of the fender about half an inch more compared to the left rear wheel...
similarly, my left front wheel is sticking out of the fender more than my right front wheel....

why is this so, and how can I correct it??

u mean its twisted? might have something to do with the steering column, i expect you'll need a spacer bits4vits.co.uk has some in development at the moment.... failing that i would suggest some adjustable panhards.

EDIT: its not a bodylift lol no problem with the steering column. Doh

someone has told me about replacing the panhards with adjustable ones. Using the adjustable panhards, should i make it longer or shorter than the stock? Sorry i'm really a newbie at this...
do u know where i can buy some really cheap? or can this be fabricated?

Hi Thor, what you need is a couple of adjustable panhard rods ... you can find them in varius e-shops

There's another possibility: install a bracket on the panhard rob, in order to move the mounting point and compensate for the lift of the car ... the difference between the 2 options is that the second one give a better road drive (the panhard rods works more horizontal, so there are less lateral movements of the axles during suspension movements, hence more comfort and less reactions on the steereing wheel), while the first option gives more strenght to the panhard rods (the stock ones are not very tough when doing offroad)

hi
the brackets fit on the axle to lift the end of the panhard rod
Russ from jimnybits does them but I think is on hols till ninth may
also have a look at biggaz's thread on his jimny build - he built his own adjustable panhard rods
