Need some advice ..need to replace my cv ,been to my local motor factors and have been told that there is no after Market cv on a 54 plate but they do a pre 54 for a non abs car ....does any one know if this pre 54 cv will fit my car ..I know it has a no abs ring ,but I have taken my abs off as it's more of a hinderence off road .the car is mainly used for off road .

as long as its got the same number of inner splines it will fit some have 19 & some have 20
mine is a 52 reg & has 19 splines

Spent 3 days trying to get new cv for my poor broken zuke ,54 plate onwards they changed the cv From a 6 Ball pot to a 8 ball cv joint my local propshaft specialist grinding machine has gone down so carn't fix it until at least 3 weeks time ,the Suzuki thiefs at the dealer wanted 400 plus for shaft and cv .......then came thorton breakers to the rescue drove down from Durham today and bought 2 cv and shafts for 90 squid .
Worth giving these boys a shout if you ever get stuck....

Thornton breakers - aren't they also camsuzuki - father and son I believe
Aparently if you get them from Cam you save the vat
I got replacement front seats from them from a later model for only £75 inc delivery

Yeah there are the same .got me sell a off side mirror too been driving for about 5 months with a broken mirror,can only use the excuse that ive been side swiped so many times before the fuzz get a little upset and give you a hundred lines ........

Can't wait to get out and play this weekend ,
Rear .....new brakes shoes,new hand brake cables and new bearings.
Front new brake pads ,king pin bearing set ,new centre bearing and cv and shafts all round..

it's good to hear they give some people good service, i'm still w8ing for my door handle ordered last November! they seem a complete waste of time if you ask me, perhaps it's different if ur going to collect the parts
