If it suddenly breaks, go back to the last thing that you did before it broke and start looking there
The clock has 4 wires
Black = earth
White = permanent 12V feed [to keep the time going] via a fuse labelled "dome" I'm guessing this is the interior light
White/black = switched 12V [to wake the display up] via a fuse labelled "cigar" This must be the what we non-smokers refer to as the accesory socket
Red/yellow = sidelight live to dim the clock.
If these wires all bell out ok. get a new clock.

Mine doesnt work either, but the radio has a clock so not too bothered.

the clock is about the only bit that does work 
no heated rear window switch
no rear wiper switch
cigarette lighter doesn't work
heater fan only works if you turn it up to full and then back down again to the setting you want

The clock is the most important gauge in the car :ohmy:
If the clock says I'm late, I go faster
