G13BB engine

Hi guys (and girls?)

Got a major problem with my jimny. Blown the head gasket, pulled the head of and we noticed some damage on the 3th cylinder. We took the engine to a man who could overhaul it but he says the damage is to big

So I will have to find another engine, but the G13BB is a bit "rare" overhere. They ask over 1000 euro's if wreckers have one. My question is: does a G13BB engine of a wagon R+ will fit? Some wreckers say it don't because there is a "horsepower differents" in it. They can't garantee me if it will fit. I also know that the 2wd jimny and some baleno's have the G13BB engine overhere....

no they do not fit as far as im aware as if i remember correctly the exhaust manifold doesn't match etc so could only guess what else doesn't mate up.

why not find a g16bb engine cheap and upgrade the engine.....only if they are cheaper of course but they are simple to fit.

I know Kev on here who was at tong, fitted a Brand New engine in his older jimny which came from a car (ignis maybe?) needed a few things swapping over though as it was mounted the ohter way in the car, maybe sump and oil pump etc....
