Body lift was created by George 147
Just spent most of the weekend preparing for 2 inch body lift. biggest enemy once again rust! Eventually got all the body mount nuts off with out shearing any off .Good job the bumpers arnt going back on as every fastner and bolt is knackerd. Got a ORA rear and a KAP front to go on .Disconected or loosened everything I could see but I am having a real problem with the steering shaft I cant disconnect it. Both pinch bolts are out and I have managed to slide it off the steering box end and back up the columb end so far but it wont seem to slide up enough to come off. should it come off ok at this point before jacking the body up ? Anybody else come across this problem?

As long as you have it disconnected then it should move to the side of the steering box, you will need to knock it down and off!

Not sure yet I have seen pics of people extending the bolts near the joint by the steering box, but when I get it off I think I might look at making the shaft telescopic when I get the b### off! Will post pics when done
