I've just bought a 1999 Jimny, which has steel rims and bridgestone duellers. I an going to source a new set of alloys to replace the steel rims, so at the same time I am going to have a new set of tyres fitted. Am I able to replace the standard 205/70R15 tyres and have 235/70R15 fitted without any issues like rubbling on the bumper or inner wheel arch or are any other mods required to do this?
Is this a stupid idea?
Any thoughts would be greatfully recieved.

Also, would there be a problem fitting 15" Vitara alloys on a Jimny or do they need spacers? Read on thread where they said they used a 30mm spacer as Vitara alloys sit back and foul the steering gear?

235;s will need a lot of guard chopping if you have no lift, even with a 2" lift they will still rub up the front.

215's with no lift ;)
