I don’t know if these are any good, but my local Sainsbury’s garage is selling them at £9.
It’s AA branded.

As a visual deterrent it's probably going to make the criminal classes look for a quicker target, though I doubt it will sustain a prolonged attack.

That’s exactly what I thought and for £9 it might help. We don’t have a big problem here now, 30 years ago they would steal your car before you had applied the hand brake.

If it suddenly breaks, go back to the last thing that you did before it broke and start looking there

Better than nothing whatsoever, but anyone with tools to break the steering lock usually has a hacksaw in their jacket and cuts the wheel rim in under 10 seconds.
If you want to discourage thieves, get a Disklok.
If they want you car they will still steal it, (anyone with a little skill and a decoding tool will have a Disklok open in seconds, or they just wear hi-viz and put the car on a flatbed) but casual thieves with an OBD tool from the Pub see a Disklok and go next door.
The main problems with a Disklok are price, and the size & weight of the thing making it awkward to store in the car, and dangerous if you roll over.
