If it suddenly breaks, go back to the last thing that you did before it broke and start looking there

I'd try and replace the reservoir seals that are leaking if I could get them- then there is no bleeding or messing about under the car required
Otherwise, assuming we are talking about a second hand unit, I'd swap only the cylinder as it just detaches without the need to mess around in the footwell trying to disconnect the pedal- plus there is no guarantee that the "new" servo works and you know that yours does.
