Nice, but I think they kind of "skimped" on the second gens, there were convertibles, tin tops, high tops, I've even seen "pick up" versions

Reels on social media can't be too long so I suspect they could only show one of each generation. Obviously each Generation has different configurations and specs so there's a lot more history within the Jimny timeline but it's too much to list all the differences.

Gen 2 had short wheel base open top, long wheel base (lwb) open tops, highroof, tintop and pickup.
pickups are lwb.

The highroof lwb you might see from Malay or India are aftermarket conversions or produced on license.
Might be Maruti Gypsy.

Also the Gen 1 LJ80 had open top, tintop and pick up models.

There are more comprehensive films on the history to be found on youtube.

Norway 2005 Jimny M16A VVT, 235 BFG MT, 2" Trailmaster, ARB rear lck, 17%/87% high/low gears.

I think there was more emphasis on the morphing than the vehicles tbh.

An LJ50 soft top, or an LJ80 I suppose would be nice, but if I was getting a classic Japanese 4x4 the Holy Grail would have to be a type 95 Kurogane, even if was Nissan!

If it suddenly breaks, go back to the last thing that you did before it broke and start looking there :)
