Hello everyone, 

I’m experiencing an issue with my Jimny. When the vehicle is stationary, the engine RPM remains steady at a relatively high idle of around 1800 RPM, and it runs fine while driving normally. However, when I let the car coast in gear without applying any throttle, the RPMs start fluctuating – they spike as if I were pressing the accelerator and then drop again. 

Additionally, sometimes right after starting the engine, the RPM jumps to a high level before settling down to a lower, steady RPM. Once it stabilizes, it stays at that level. 

Has anyone encountered a similar issue or have any ideas on what might be causing this behavior? I’d appreciate any advice or troubleshooting tips.

This is only one possibility but it does sound like the idle control valve and or throttle body is sticking and or dirty. But it could also be sensor related.
