That sounds about right for paying someone. A compressor, application gun and axle stands is a lot cheaper if you are prepared to get a bit dirty yourself.

A specialist garage near me which mainly does Underseal on Land Rovers are suggesting £750 for Dinatrol, but they have the car for 2 or 3 days, steam clean it and then remove any trim which is in the way.

I am still trying to decide if I should get it done, but might wait until it is warmer and drier, it will apply better.

The Dinatrol treatment is about £250 to buy if you are doing it yourself and if it takes 2 days, that’s how you end up at £800.

Waxoyl is usually cheaper, but still expect to pay £600+ at a garage, especially if they steam clean first.

Waxoyl needs topping up regularly. Dinatrol only needs touching up if you happen to scrape some off.
