I think that was one of the first recalls on the early Gen4s, along with the door wiring harness. Mine had the fuel pump and harness done. But not all were affected by the fuel pump.

I just checked the recall notices, my 2020 didn't need the fuel pump, but did need the restraints. According to the Government and Suzuki websites there are no outstanding recall notices on my vehicle, so I must assume that the 'restraints' recall has been done.

My sincere apologies to all, there IS an UPDATE to the 2021 recall in which they have EXTENDED the VIN number range of the affected vehicles.

The 2021 VIN Range was JSAGJB74V00100109 to JSAGJB74V00108225

The added VIN numbers in the 2024 recall are JSAGJB74V00108242 to JSAGJB74V00125971

We looked at the issue and noted it was the same as before until we realised tonight that the VIN range was new. Looks like it it SZ4/SZ5, not LCV

Mine will be in the new recall then, I only just missed the original recall. I thought it odd that there were so few in that batch. My service is coming up soon, no doubt my dealer is sitting on it until then.

Good job it has never had any e10 put in it!

(B@@@@@r!  I just put 1/2 a tank of a tank of finest Esso e5 in it this week, if I'd known it was being recalled I'd put a gallon in at a time.)

I just had a look at dot gov for a recall on my car, and I don't have one.  You used to be able to check VIN ranges yourself with a database at VOSA, but that service has disappeared now recalls are managed by DVSA.

What happened with 108226-108241?

If it suddenly breaks, go back to the last thing that you did before it broke and start looking there :)

My recall letter finally arrived today!

"insufficient material density caused by the improper injection moulding process" seems somewhat contrived tbh, but I get an e10 proof pump out of it- I hope!

So today it went in for its service and the pump recall.

Except they hadn't got the pump..........

Massively super extremely annoying.

They could have told me before they collected it today and I'd have delayed the service a month or so.

Now I suppose they will expect me to pay for collection again, and I have to keep putting in 2 gallons at a time to keep the weight of the tank down.

EDIT: So 24 hours later I get the call that the pump has arrived now!

Booked in for 4th July, and I don't have to pay for collection again, so that is Good News.

Well they replaced the pump last week, and half a tank of Tescos E5 has gone through without issue. They washed it again- that is 4 times this year already, and it is only July!

They moved the passenger seat and had the carpet up in the back, I thought there was no access from the top and the tank had to drop so no reason to be in the back, unless Suzuki made it so the wires connect under the carpet rather than at the pump?
