Re:Install SZ5 SLDA into LCV

Evening all - first post here, just about to take delivery of my new LCV in silky silver, very excited!

I've managed to source an SLDA from an SZ5 which will be one of the first upgrades I do.  I went with this option as I managed to pick up the unit at a good price and I'm hoping it's a plug and play solution!

I have a couple of queries which I couldn't see answered on here already (apologies if I'm wrong though):

1. I'm wondering if installing the rear camera kit will work as it would only display on the screen when reverse gear is selected. Is the wiring to make that happen built into the existing LCV wiring loom?
2. Similarly on the park brake connector on the SLDA, does the LCV have a connector to plug in here?  I believe this just functions so you can only watch videos when the park brake is applied.  I guess it will default to "no video playback allowed" if this isn't connected which won't bother me as I'm not planning to use it to watch any videos!

You need to run a wire for the reverse signal. Unfortunately the wire is missing from the loom

I have not heard of anyone running a handbrake wire

Do you know where the wire for reverse signal would connect to on the SLDA? Or have a wiring diagram for SZ5 you could point me to? I presume the other end just needs to T into the power wire to the reverse light (same way as the parking sensor kit gets wired in).

Think I’ve figured it out actually from this camera retention kit: audiotechdirect.com/atd-crc-27059-rear-r...-white-trigger-plug/

Now wonder if they’ll sell me just the white connector so I don’t have to buy the whole kit…
