Which model Jimny do you have? And what sort of use? Body lifts are a bit like trimming the arches. Gives more room for the tyres. But doesn’t really offer any other off road benefits such as break over angle, clearance under the chassis or suspension flex.

Lifting the transfer case made it very sensitive to drive shaft angle vibration but found an angle it was comfortable in after som trail end error.
Still considering the amount of work, I would rather lift more on the springs and cut more space out of the arches.
Norway 2005 Jimny M16A VVT, 235 BFG MT, 2" Trailmaster, ARB rear lck, 17%/87% high/low gears.
Not sure on the Jimny, but on my 2" body lifted SJ I got to lift the transfer case 1" and front and rear bumpers 2" making better approach angles, as well as making a tucked up custom exhaust giving me a flat belly under there. Also had a plan of lifting the gas tank but never got around to it.Which model Jimny do you have? And what sort of use? Body lifts are a bit like trimming the arches. Gives more room for the tyres. Replied by jackonlyjack on topic lift
Have you changed the gearing for the 31's
I run 32's on a 3" suspension and 1"body
Only fitted body lift to aid in cleaning the mud out
Also I have no bumpers or arches/Sill covers
Mud traps imo
