a quick introduction .....i,m mark from shrewsbury in shropshire and a recent jimny owner.
its my first one and its an 07 plate jlx plus..
bought it to go metal detecting with really so i can park in the fields easier...
bit too tidy for what i want it for but with a few things that need doing to it it will be cracking...
changing the rims from alloys to steels but could do with some advice on rim size and off set..
was going for 15 x 7 (or 6.5) with zero offsett and some 205 70 15 insa turbo tyres on
with no lift on it at the moment does anyone think that could be a problem??
any help would be gratefully received....
thanks mark,

Hi, friendly bunch on here....

I'd stay on the standard JLX alloys and fit the 205's, you shouldn't have any issue's and it will save a few quid...

If you want it a bit wider, look at spacers afterwards.

I ran 215/75 x 15 on JLX alloys with tired old standard suspension and had no clearance issues.

A 205 is bit stretched on a 7" rim too, 6" is ideal.

hiya sniper, cheers for rapid reply,
only reason i was going to change rims was because the alloys are a bit scabby looking..
may drop down to 6 inch rims then..
not worried really if they look wider, but would look good though....
i have a feeling im going to be altering the look of my jimny looking at some folks on here.....
