If we are talking brand new, don't new tyres need a few hundred K before they bed in?

Lost the back end on duellers and stuffed it in to some railings. To be fair it was uphill, off camber and diesel on a wet road and they were 10 year old tyres.
Now running BFG ATs. fantastic grip in all conditions but I sound like a hooligan most of the time as the locker in the back diff makes it squeal the tyres like crazy when you set off from a junction unless you drive like a granny. Makes me smile every time though lol!
I must say, when the back end does let go in 2 wheel drive it does it really fast making it difficult to control. I can drift my transit on snow until I get bored with it but the Jimny just flicks round like BAM and you're gone.
