Only one answer. Not Enough! Lower mpg than my fully loaded 3.5 tonne transit with the pedal to the metal 80+mph it still does better than the Jimny. Nowhere near as much fun though!;
MPG v Cost per Grin;
Berlingo 55 / £200
Transit 28 / £100
Jimny 25 / £0.50p
Guess which one I drive when I need to go a long distance with min. fuss?
Guess which one I drive when I need to move lots of stuff?
Guess which one I drive when I want to enjoy myself?

Anyone got a 1.6 engine in with basic mods ? Curious if you get a little more with the engine not using as much effort?

About 230 to a tank from the jimny which i am happy with,my old navara did 450 out of a tank but it was twice as large.
My St220 used to do 30mpg on a motorway run,ragging it round the country lanes it used to do 18mpg tops :ohmy:
So it was replaced with my VW Grove UP i now drive it like i stole it and get 55mph,or 60 if i drive it properly.
So the jimny with 8 gal tank does 230ish,and the VW with a 7 gallon tank does 400ish.
But the VW just can't hold it's own in the mud like the Jimny :laugh:

I usually get 280 in winter, 290 to 300 in summer. No short trips, though. It was a teensy bit worse on winter tyres in the same temperatures compared to the stock tyres, but maybe only 1mpg or so; the cold weather made a bigger difference when that arrived. I can report that the Shell "nitro" super unleaded makes no difference whatsoever, despite the claims of friction-reducing co,pounds.

Well my lift and mud tyres has only cost me about 5 miles!
Getting a consistent 160 to the tank..... Not sure what mpg that is?
