I went the dorset show earlier in the year with my best mate. He's are farmer and thought it was hilarious how much I paid for my road tax given the engine size, when compared to his runabouts - usual tight wad farmer, have one green oval for market and everyday use and one luxury green oval for posh events.

Imagine the horror on my face when we pulled up in his disco in the show car park, and parked near a ferrari - i aint got a clue what model, it was silver  . Out of interest, we wandered over to nosey how much the government were robbing of that driver - LESS THAN ME???!!!!!   I'll let you fill in the blanks as to what i said, but my mate, well he was to busy on the floor laughing his head off!!!

Must have been old models as any discovery or ferrari registered after 2006 cost £435 a year road tax and any registered after 2001 when RFL based on co2 came in cost £245 for both

The table should read
Date of Registration 6 Months 12 Months Band CO2 (g/km)
1 Mar 2000 – 28 Feb 2001 £68.75 £125.00 -
1 Mar 2001 – 1 Feb 2003 £110.00 £200.00

guess which day mine was registered!!!:(
The only was I can justify it is my daily drive, C4 1.6 HDI 110bhp has just come down from £35 to £30 for 12 months!!!:woohoo:

On the 8th Day God made the LandRover -
On the 9th day he swapped it for a Jimny.
