Mines wired in to the back lights, routed up through the wheel arch and kept in the cubby hole until needed - works fine, when its needed you can either hang the socket out the back door or put the plug inside. The rest of the time it is out of sight and out of the way.

so ive fitted my towbar and now the electrics are due, is there a prefered side to wire them into and where does everyone splice into the wiring?

im probably going to mount the socket inside the cubby hole but i think the cubby hole will need to be modified as its a funny shape, will probably cut the back out and make a flat insert to mount the socket to.

the tow bar came with a 7 pin socket and wiring kit.

Theres a how to guide on here somewhere that shows you all the coloured wires etc - if memory serves me right, the loom is behind the passenger side trim. Does mean you have to take the rear seat out to take the trim off, but the guide is so simple to follow
