Yes... But i would much prefer them over ARB Air lockers...

A work mate has just ripped his ARB out and replaced it with a similar system to CAM due to diff oil being pushed all the way up the air line from the Diff into the Compressor and filling the compressor up with diff oil!

It is possible that he didn't install it properly mind you :huh:

There's probably a reason why ARB is a world known brand, and CAM is not :)

Anything can be fitted wrong, worn down or damaged by proper or improper use.

CAMs design definitely is interesting, but since they aren't really interested in supplying any other than Land Rovers, my money's on ARB lockers. I have have that kind of money one day :D

just rebuit my Yota axles with ARB s cant for the life of me see how he got oil back up the air line but would be interested to know what went wrong
I would go ARB to be honest its even better than the Merc G wagon locker system on my other truck and that aint to shabby as you would exspect

I'm running ARBs front and rear in my 90 amazing bit of kit, parts and advise is readily availble, unlike Kams lockers it would seem ! Might be more £££ but defently worth it

I run an ARB in the rear and love it so much my other kidney is now up for sale so I can buy one for the front! :woohoo:

"The ARB Air Locker system naturally vents off slight amounts of pressure into the axle housing as the diff operates (hence the reason the compressor cycles normally every 4-10 minutes depending on O-ring condition). Additionally axles build up pressure as heat increases and the gear oil warms, hence the reason OE manufactures included axle breathers in their designs from the start. If the axle breather is clogged or blocked, it can create a high pressure situation (sounding like a weatherman?) inside the axle housing forcing gear oil fluid to penetrate the O-rings and into the air supply line. When the air line pressure is vented, this gear oil will be pushed up to the solenoid and out the release port. Remove air line at the differential bulkhead fitting, purge line with compressed air and re-install. "

I have my ARB compressor in the cab and it vents no oil, ARB do indicate SOME oil vapour MAY be vented but I dont have any. I was maticulousa with my axle build and have no issues. ;)

Yeah ok can kinda see how that could happen but you would have to be fairly unlucky :unsure:

replace the non return valve on the diff breather for a pipe this helps vent off the back pressure better,
the older ARB lockers had 3 cap screws holding the seal ring that was a known problen back then if it were miss alligned it caused a pumping action back purging the air line, most of the newer ones i have saw now have the spring clip on the seal ring.
