Please help, about to buy snow chains for our Jimny, is it best to have 2 or 4 chains? if 2, would it be best on the front or back? thanks in advance

I would just get a set for the back personally as using 4WD on the tarmac isn't very good

Thank you for your quick reply, if your in 4wd and you put the chains on the back you will suffer in controlling and steering so would it be better to have chains on the front to control steering and drive, we have AT2 general grabbers. We do live on top of a very steep hill and although as you said we shouldn't need any chains we are just covering ourselves really

thanks for your quick reply, my intention would be only using the chains in deep snow, if it was light snow with patches of tarmac I probably wouldn't bother putting the chains on and just rely on the 4wd and our AT tyres. Would all the wheels being chained be the best solution?
