Will you be running these lovely speakers from a separate amplifier or the stock head unit?

I ask as I tried a set of 6x9's with a fairly high power rating on the standard unit in Ulysses and it could barely move them :-(

J999 MNY, ULYSSES M18 VVT with ITB's Dyno tested at 130hp

Pickup/tipper, R7me gearbox & 6.4 Rocklobster, 31" Toyo MT, 2x ARB air locker 3.9 diffs in braced axles, 6" total lift, Floating rear conversion, Raptor painted, CB, Recaro's, Caged, etc, etc...

I am currently running a Sony mex gs820bt . Its a 4x45w rms 4x100w max head unit. If I set it even fade front and rear it kicks the snot out of the little Vibe twin cones so that any volume above 12 is full of distortion. With it set to almost full front fade so that the 5.25 inch Edge speakers are doing most of the work it's possible to get up to the 30s on the volume before the distortion is too bad. I know from experience that speakers are very optimistic about their power handling compared with amps and head units which tend to be more conservative in their power claims. There is therefore an element of trial and error in optimal matching of the two to get the best performance but if these new Pyle are even only able to run with equal fade it will be a significant improvement. Or they will be going back in the box for a refund!

Every opportunity I get! I know I was on about replacing it all with a bluetooth speaker but apart from the utility of a CD player I would miss making mobile phones bounce off the roof! I might not drive an agri yob Subaru anymore but that doesn't mean I have grown up!

I believe the expression is "if you can't feel the music in your chest, it's not loud enough! "

I do wonder sometimes if I need a second under seat sub box? But then people start complaining it's too loud already?

3/4 Rack from Front Runner. Happy with the fit.

The wind deflector doesn't fit though. I think they just sent the wrong one as it digs into the roof and the feet won't reach the gutters. Hopefully get it replaced but even without it there's hardly any wind noise.
