Hi everyone,
I want suggestions from you to fit 215/75/15 bfg mud km2. My Jimny is a VVT 2009 Manual Transmission with older model front bumper. Use it mainly onroad, but do greenlaning at least once a month and need to improve offroad capabilities. Also, I like space between the tires and the arches, so definitively want something taller than the current 1.5" lift with 205/70/15 A/T (see pic). The choice for 215/75/15 is because it’s a daily driver and don’t have $ to buy proper reduction gears to run bigger ones.
Bits that I already bought or are easy to get:
0. Longer brake lines up to 5†lift.
1. OME 1.5†suspension lift kit: arriving early June
2. 1†spring spacers: not bought
3. 2†body lift kit: sitting at my garage
4. 1.5†Bits4Vits lift kit (4 spring spacers plus 4 shock extensions): currently installed
SETUP 1: At first I thought of using 1 with 2, ending up with 2.5â€.
SETUP 2: Add 3 to SETUP 1, ending up with 4.5â€
SETUP 3: Use 1 and 4, ending up with 3â€.
SETUP 4: Add 3 to SETUP 3, ending up with 5â€.
SETUP 5: up to you!
Everyone's opinions/experiences are welcome!
Thanks,
Thiago
PS. I'm considering to fit 2" CC bushes, but not new control arms for now. Panhards I could manage to extend, if necessary. Also got wheel spacers (32 mm) about to arrive.

use 0,1, 3 and 4 as you've already got them/bought them and get a set of castor correction bushes and then mod the panard rods you'll get 5" total and plenty of room for some special tracks

I like darths set-up idea ...but only thing to me is why lift that much if you dont need to ?
A big high jimny looks great but 1, you will quickly wish you had bigger tyres 2, your raising your cog for no gain
To me id use what i had to gain a nice lift to clear the tyres you have maybe not use the body lift
So thats 0-1-4

Thanks a lot guys!
After all, I’m more into fitting 0, 1, 4 first. Hence, going to have to wait one more month to start the mods!
Any other thought are welcome!

I wouldn't recommend the body lift as all it really does is raise the CoG (which on such a narrow car isn't a good idea) mainly to fit bigger tyres? Which if you go for 215s, or even 235s you wont need it anyways. I find with the 3" lift and 235s I have no worries about panel damage. But that would also depend on the terrain you travel, so the body lift might suit? But its more MPG as well.
My MPG has gone up since the 235s, tho its harder to record as the speedo is registering 10% out which I havent factored into my fuel log yet. I haven't had an issue with gearing offroad or around town but thats the beauty of an auto, I do notice it on the freeway tho, struggles at the first sign of a hill, so gearing or extra power is on the cards to compensate.
I would stick to 0-1-4 as suggested. Any suspension combo above 2" and you'll need CC bushes, at the least. With 215s you wont need panhards but you should get them done.

Like Sandez said go for with 0-1-4+2"CC bushes, and sell the body lift, then use the money to help pay for the new tyres.
215/75/15 will work ok with just the Bits4Vits 1.5 spring lift with the MK1 bumper.
