Cheers Darthloachie - that's what I'm talking about!!!
I reckon it will be excellent when finished. I really am a bad internet surfer as others always find what I can't!
I'd be quite excited to see your build Gary if you can do a blog type thing on here?!?

Why no centre winch though? I know it's another expense and winches are not cheap, especially when you add a few hundred for plasma rope but I would plan it into the build if possible, even if you don't put a winch in place straight away.
I don't compete as I haven't the money to spend and I think I prefer to watching or maybe one day bitching for someone else (who has spent their money on the vehicle)! However, I've been watching a fair few winch challenges recently and a fair few of my fellow local club members have been competing and a centre winch has been at least most useful and at the most a god send.
It takes all the worry out of side slopes and makes some punches alot easier to get and massively reduces the risk of damage to your vehicle via a roll - not to mention the reduced risk of injury from a roll.
Just worth a thought now as you may not be able to fit it in later depending on your design.

sofar ive got through without a winch, as there is always people there with us that have them, i will be building it to take a centre winch if i decide to get one. i dont do challenges just now, but my club is really close to getting MMSA insurance, this will alow us to hole more extreme events and challenges.

It's a slippery slope that most of us slide down and we all end up wanting to do more and more - so whilst you're building a vehicle, build it to the best it can be in the first place or you'll want it in the future and wish you'd done it to start with!
I swore I'd not get a cage and rocklobster - I've got the cage and pick the rocklobster up on 17/06/10!
Now I swear I won't get more aggressive tyres and a rear difflock - but I think money dictates I don't really now! Then again, money dictated I wouldn't get a cage!
