We went down Chapel Gate on our way back from the Lakes a few weeks ago, tis not for the faint hearted!

We did it no probs though as did the Comp Spec 90 and Disco on 2" spring spacers and larger BFG's with us.

I think Dave from Bits4Vitz and his mates tried going up it recently but couldn't get up - someone correct me if I'm wrong.

It was a great lane to end our holiday of extreme laning though!

I wish I'd taken some pictures but had done so all holiday and wanted to do some driving rather than Lindz get all the fun in driving whilst I took the pictures!

Good effort, there are some big rocks and climbs to get up there - I guess that's where the rocklobster and locker come in as I wouldn't have even tried it - you come in for much respect for even trying it, let alone achieving it!!!

What do you reckon on a cage now though? You are doing pretty extreme stuff!

I used to have a Cage on my old SJ413 ... that too used to have a 5:1 Low box and a Locker - I only got rid of it to get P/S, a comfier ride, and small turning circle (as at the time i was doing AWDC trials - and you need a tight turning circle to win, or close to win) ... anyhow ..

Once Jimny back on its feet again - an EXTERNAL Cage is on the TO DO list!!

I like the Roych, but chapel gate I'm a bit frustrated with, fine going down, but when me and Maverick made it up the top I'd bent the A pillar, smashed the windscreen, and sheared a freewheeling hub off. Bit expensive that. Maverick damaged his snorkel. Dave didnt get up as he broke a shaft/CV and Andy was behind him and therefore couldnt get up.
I did a punch hunt at Broseley the other weekend, sheared the FWH off again... all 6 bolts snapped again, another two hours with stud extractors !

Oooops!
that sounds expensive!
I had thought about giving it a try up Chapel but as the Jimny is a daily driver i cant risk killing it for a few days!
I prefer the challenge of going up lanes but CG was challenging enough with the help of gravity!
