Mines similar to that, but my winch doesnt have a clutch lever on the top, so i managed to do mine a lot simpler, basically bolted a winch tray from a recovery truck on top of the chassis rails, lopped the edges off, rewelded them underneath at right angles. I then bolted down through the chassis rails and in through the side of the chassis rails. Rock solid.

Hi mate I finally got round to fitting my winch this week end. I made my winch plate myself by cut the two front chassis legs off and welding two pieces of box section on the ends and some 6mm plate for the winch to sit on. I had fitted the 3 tonne Champion winch, which only just fits inside the standard bumper.It wouldnt take a bigger one unless you want to chop the bumper a lot. I wanted a nice neat job and its totaly behind the bumper and its not really visible apart from the fairlead. I will add some pictures tonight of the job start to finish.
