Hello. Newbie with questions was created by Coletti
Hello all, got my first jimny last weekend and have taken it for a little outing already :). It currently has a lift kit with new radious arms, adjustable panhard rods and 2 new props. Was wondering what sort of mods people would suggest? I'm a competent welder and my brother is a fabricator so I'm currently in the process of designing some custom bumpers and integrated winch plates and was wondering what othe mods people could suggest that I could make my self and maybe some pics of home made mods for some inspiration, I also wanted to ask what winches people would suggest? I've read up on what sort of weight winch I would need but opinions seem rather varied between 4500lb and 8000lb can anyone suggest an ideal winch for the vehicle? Any and all replies will be greatly appreciated
Cheers
George

Hi and welcome to Bigjimny, sounds like you want to make yourself some rock sliders and a full external roll cage ;-)
As for winch id use at least 8000 - 10000 lbs, its not the weight of your car, its all the Mud thats sucking it down or being pushed infront of it.

I agree, I'm looking at the goldfish 9500 tds as its well recommended. I've noticed since owning mine it's more about recovering others than yourself!!

Some pics of some cool rear bumpers and winch trays so thats a mod I would be thinking of.

Get the cheap TJM replica snorkel before the price gos up! See the bigjimny shop and some a axle breathers!
