anti roll bar ! was created by MysticRich
Hi all thanks for the welcome,s
Along with all the mod,s and cutting back I have also removed the anti- roll bar on the front as was advised buy another jimny user who regularly visit tong but will my jimny pass the m.o.t without this ? My garage is ok about not having the c.a.t and the wheels beyond the arches but I'm not sure about the anti-roll as I remove after last test
Thanks Rich

Just bung it back on for MOT, it only takes a few minutes.

Mines been through the MOT for years without it, does depend on the tester though, i forget the exact wording but if the tester suspects that it should have an ARB and its no longer there he may decide that its dangerous to not have it.

I dont think you'll have a problem, just be prepared to get the missing bit quickly if he does fail it !

Strictly it should fail, but some testers won't bother.

It should also fail now for things like seatbelt wont retract (common on Jimnys)

More than likely it will be ok, just put it in and see what happens

DON'T remove all signs of mountings from the chassis to pretend that there wasn't one there, the fail goes on whether there should have been one from the factory as in original spec.

If it suddenly breaks, go back to the last thing that you did before it broke and start looking there :)

If the car left the factory with one then now it is a fail if the tester is awake. I was only speaking to a VOSA man today about all the new rules. (sadly I work a'lot with VOSA :-( )

I am waiting for one of our jimny parts suppliers to come up with a disconnect design.
But we all must remember that most of our modification parts are not type approved and are recommended for off road use only. We use these at our own risk on the road.
