What is the definitive max tyre size I can fit to my '08 Reg Jimny (later type bumper)? Some say that you cannot fit 215/75/15 as it will rub but I just found this link:

www.4x4community.co.za/forum/showthread.php?t=66285

The guy on here has fitted this size with no lift and seems to look fine.

I was going to go for the Kumho KL71's in a 195/80/15 size, been looking at the Black Circles site and the prices seem to vary day by day, now up to £95 each fitted - very pricey!

the guy has OME shocks which have lifted the car by 2cm up front and 4cm at the back

205/70 to 205/75 = 2.95% difference = OK (but had to junk one of my mudflaps - but Adam's was OK = see here

205/70 to 215/75 = 5.3% difference = NO

205/70 to 195/80 = 3.9% difference = ?? minor trimming possibly required at front

in general the max difference is 3% without making any mods
work out your calculations here

Can't help you with the tyre size but have a look at event-tyres for prices, cheapest place I found to get the KL71 and they come to you!
