What have people done when fitted longer springs ??
removed it?
left it on?
put longer drop links on to compensate?

I think most people take them off - you just have to get used to the roll especially on roundabouts and go a bit slower
as an added benefit my wife hates driving it :)

Removal of the anti roll bar is an MOT fail.

Take a look at the MOT handbook posted in another thread: section 2.4G 1

Stick it back on for the MOT.

If it suddenly breaks, go back to the last thing that you did before it broke and start looking there :)

It won't pass when the new regs are in force, the manual is quite clear on this point.

"Reason for rejection :

A suspension component or its attachment bracket or linkage:
• missing where one is fitted as standard"

mine passed in november with no anti roll bar, if its not there they cant fail you, if its there and has a fault they will fail it :)
best off with it off and just get used to the roll on the corners

If anyone has one going spare I'm interested! Will need the drop links aswell, Better also go find a proper front crossmember as mines kinda been replaced. Will improve road handling with the cage! and I could remove it in seconds when playing.

Without the anti roll bar, it is a fail.
If the examiner doesn't notice the bar has been removed, he'll not fail it. (Nudge Nudge Wink Wink!)

If the bar is missing/removed but came out of the factory with one, it IS a FAIL.

It's all down to the examiner, is he a friend, blind or not up on the regs?
Know what I mean? ;)

K :)
