I was looking at buying one of these myself so when I have my iPhone or iPad running I can keep an eye on things, and Ill have a nice 10" screen for diagnostics.

Its a lil more exxy at $80 (£55) but suits my needs. Also will need DashCommand for $52 unless you JB or use a free app.

If you use Android I think you can use the cheaper £20 ones using Bluetooth

the reason i asked is because a few site say that the obd2 is not compatible with the older jimny ....in particular the bluetooth and wifi ones dont work with jimny's of any age

No eBay APP ID and/or Cert ID defined in Kunena configurationI have one the same as this works great on my 2003 SOHC model, correctly diagnosed my faulty 02 sensor and reset the engine management system. Also displays digital dash on laptop, not recomending seller just type of reader ;)

Hi, Which version did you go for, Blue Tooth / USB / RS232? I quite like the idea of Blue Tooth and leave in-situ permanently. I've seen another which will talk to my iPhone 4 but not sure if that is the way to go yet. The MaxiScan is OK but a little pricey when compared to the EOBD product. HELP !!!!

just had a look for you - in car mechanics mag nov 2011 they recommend the Gendan EOBD engine package as their best buy 'budget' model, but at £75 its hardly that cheap. Not sure which years/models it covers but this is their web address: www.gendan.co.uk

Hope this helps.
