Don't bother buying the latest Total Off Road magazine with the winter prep article!
Complete waste of money and I'll be cancelling my subscription.

This is actually a bad idea, it doesn't cool the engine properly, 50:50 will protect down to -37 Celsius 70:30 will go down to -64! (Where do you live? )

Now that is a great idea! I'll get a couple from Wilkos :woohoo:

If it suddenly breaks, go back to the last thing that you did before it broke and start looking there :)

That is a good idea. Last year my carpets and mats frooze to floor pan overnight  . It took ages to dry it all out. It was mainly because i was playing taxi for my mum, she's a district nurse, and her colleagues. Everytime they got in the car they bought half a snowman in with them  That was in the GV mind.

Lidl 28/11/2011 pair of snow chains £19.99

despite urban myths - these are road legal - you can only get done for damaging the road, if there's no snow on it :pinch:

Half the fun of snow is being able to slide / drift without getting locked up for it ;)

Why would anyone want snow chains?
