Crack on engine's block

I would really appreciate your help cause I am ready for a heart attack!
Last week I noticed that I had a water loss from somewhere in my suzuki jimny car and my mechanic told me that there is a crack on the engine's block. I really don't know what to do because changing the whole engine will cost a huge amount of money... Someone told me that I can use steel bonding but I am afraid that this will not be a permanent solution..Is there anyone who had the same problem and used the steel bonding solution?? I have used Emetal on a small engine before but not a car and it worked fine and is still going strong to this day. Its worth ago for the sake of £5 rather than hundreds of pounds.

No eBay APP ID and/or Cert ID defined in Kunena configurationI have used this stuff in the past, on a little 1.3 Suzuki carry van (same engine as Jimny)... we used to use it for wizzing around picking up parts and such like... but we did rack up a good few miles on it (189,000) by the time it went to the scrap yard...

Anywhoooo... It had a crack near the top of the block, you could actually see water running down the block, added this stuff and watched the water stop within minutes... and it lived to cover 000's more miles and it was the rest of the van that rusted out, and the enigne was till going strong!

I swear by it now if I'm ever in a pickle! 100% recomended!!!!

Make sure you have flushed out the antifreeze before you try this stuff, the water glass reacts with the antifreeze and turns it to jelly.

It is worth a try, the engine is scrap anyway.
