I know there's probably loads of reading on the insurance issue on here but just at the moment, I haven't got time to troll through it all.
Afters shift, no internet access at work, this lap top working when it feels like it, etc etc...

So my question is, decent insurance companies or brokers, who are they?

Please don't mention Ade Flux, I'm with them now and my renewal has just dropped on the mat, £360 fully comp!!!!!! That's nearly double what I pay for my 06 turbo Merc at 200+ bhp which is my daily drive!!!!!!

All I've done this year is 142 miles due to repairs, no time, operation etc.
I am not paying £360 for a Jimny.

Anyone with any good names of companies?
All replies greatly appreciated, will check tonight when I get back home.

Thanks

Keith :)

Mine is with Frank Pickles but been told that they are no longer doing this type of insurance and have passed business to Flux.

A renewal premium will always be "inflated" because insurers expect that alot of people will just renew and pay the price.

Tell them you have had a better price and that you will be cancelling unless they can give you a better deal. ;)

I have no personal experience of them but i know a few who use the NFU.
I'm with Adrian Flux with all mods declared.
Get a magazine and call the ones in the back who specialise in 4x4's, i had a landy mag and worked my way through the ads in the back.

Black Jimny's don't get stuck!

Thanks for that, lads.

I'll ring Cherish and 2gether later on this morning.
I went on their web sites, filled the forms in but then just got the message treeling me to ring them instead.

Martin, what company did you recommend, I can't tell what it is supposed to say in your reply?

I'm with Adrian Flux, the renewal doubled in price.

I went to comparethemeerkat and halved it, phoned AF and the "found" someone to beat that by £5

If it suddenly breaks, go back to the last thing that you did before it broke and start looking there :)

This lot are very competitive at the moment echoice

The wife's 2000 Toyota RAV4 3d renewal just came in - esure renewal price £703
The car's trade value is only £800  worth trebble that to us

Echoice are only £230 fully comp, protected no claims, excess £125 - but we're paying £303 to have recovery with homestart, windscreen cover, hire car etc.

Not sure why fully comp comes in cheaper than TFT
;)
