I have a set fitted to our Jimny ( the cheaper ones) and to be fair, I have never had any issues.
I did change a number of wheel studs that had damaged threads before fitting, and they have been though some quite challenging terrain, including having to climb out of hardened chalk and clay ruts using the sidewalls of the tyres. I always make sure the mated surfaces are clean and rust / corrosion free when removing / refitting them, but have not so far had any issues

thanks for feedback - and confidence boost - :woohoo:
my work commute and mild green-laning with the hound should be fine when compared to what you get up to - one day I hope to grow up into a dirty boy  (or maybe that'll be a dirty old man :pinch: )
